So, I just got back from my Air Force class, got an 88% on the test.
That makes me happy. For those that think so this one is not quite the
easy A that the others were, this one is a 3 cred class, and the test
was HARD! Thank god my english skills saved me, you got bonus points
for noticing typos. That was a ball.
I figured out on my walk home why civilians should not be allowed to
test out weapon ideas. But lemme ask a question first. Ever have an
internal conversation? I like to have a little debate in my head, kinda
good angel / bad angel but without the morality ideals. I tend to do
this when I think about cool invention stuff (which is more often then
you think) and one angel is "I wanna do this" and the other angel is
"but what if _____ happens?". So the Bad angel proposed the idea of
modifying a combat shotgun to carry more then the 12 or 16 shell
capacity that it has. Good stepped in with won't that make it heavier?
Bad countered with using some of the new plastics, maybe even some of
the special polymers in the kevlar family. Good, Bad, Good, Bad, the
time passes as I walk home listening to my Ipod. At one point I decided
I needed to find a cheap shot gun and test out the angels design idea.
So you would have:
1. Untrained civilian
2. large quantity of shells (20+)
3. illegal modifications
4. chances of the test "failing" catastrophically
yeah, I started pondering just how big a little explosion I would be
holding if the thing went bad, and I decided that I never need to do
anything like this without a full lab to play with. Or really nice medical insurence.
